Nitrogen feed-air systems
Define the nitrogen product first, then collect compatible generator operating data to establish feed-air and treatment requirements.
New projects stay in memory until you choose Save or Export. Local saving is not a cloud account. Contacts are excluded from saved project files.
Confirm with the equipment maker
- What uses the nitrogen, and which PSA or membrane generator or process is being considered?
- What are nitrogen average/peak flow, reference temperature, absolute pressure and moisture basis?
- How is purity defined, and is the specification total purity or residual oxygen?
- What outlet pressure, peak duration, operating hours and backup supply are needed?
- Which maker document gives output, purity, feed pressure, temperature and air quality at one operating point?
- What is the sourced air-to-gas ratio, its flow basis, and which purge or other losses does it already include?
- What site conditions, existing treatment/storage, utilities and actual gas-purchase costs are available?
Common sizing mistakes
- Nitrogen product flow is not the feed-air requirement.
- Do not combine low-purity capacity with a high-purity air ratio or count included purge twice.
